Axis to ship their first LTE and WiMAX test platform to customers
Las Vegas - Axis Network Technology Ltd announced today at the CTIA (stand 8526) that they are now shipping Base Station and User Equipment simulators to customers worldwide.
The platform is aimed at test equipment vendors to become part of their complete test platforms. The Axis RF card enables test equipment OEMs to simulate either Base Stations or User Equipment for field or laboratory environment.
The platform is available either in FDD or TDD LTE and WiMAX air duplexing interface and provide 1Tx/2Rx MISO or 2Tx/2Rx MIMO. It delivers 0dBm per output port and provide feedback path for digital pre-distortion. It is available with CPRI or OBSAI digital interface and one or two optical links.
“The large FPGA size combined with Axis software radio technology delivers the platform required to simulate multiple UEs or multi-carrier BTS to test equipment vendors, hence giving real test conditions for Mobile and Base Stations developers.” Said Steve Cooper, CTO and Founder of Axis Network Technology. “We are very enthusiastic about participating to the development of LTE and multiple Air interface technology at the very early stage through this test platform.”
The platform is currently available at 2.6 and 2.1 GHz with future release at 1.9GHz, 1.8GHz, 900MHz and 700MHz.
Axis test platform is based on AXIS proven and qualified technology for Software Defined Radio technology used in their standard LTE and WiMAX MIMO Radio Remote Heads.
