Axis Network Technology selected as finalist for Best of WiMAX World EMEA 2008 Awards’ Industry Choice
xchange magazine has announced that Axis Network Technology has been selected as a finalist to receive the Best of WiMAX World EMEA 2008 Industry Choice Award for its Integrated Remote Radio Heads (RRH) for 2.5GHz and 3.5GHz WiMAX. The awards recognize leaders in the development and deployment of WiMAX technologies. Nominations were open to exhibitors, sponsors and presenters of the WiMAX World EMEA Conference, May 19-21, in Munich, Germany. A select judging panel of experts from the WiMAX community chose 22 Industry Choice finalists among the nominees, including Axis Integrated RRH. It is now up to their peers to determine the winner.

First public demonstration of Xilinx DPD for OFDMA on Axis Network Technology’s Radio platform at MWC
Axis Network Technology has announced the first public demonstration of Xilinx Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD) technology on an Axis Digital Radio platform. The innovative system architecture used by Axis provides the capacity, performance and flexibility needed to rapidly develop and deploy advanced digital radio algorithms, such as DPD and CFR. The platform additionally supports the emerging network gigabit interfaces such as CPRI and OBSAI, all within the same digital radio platform. The new Xilinx DPD solution that is being shown works across a range of air interface standards, from existing 2G/3G standards to the latest OFDMA-based access protocols, such as WiMAX and LTE.
