Simon Mellor – Chief Executive Officer
Simon joined Airtech in 1992 as CTO, where he developed a range of basestation and coverage enhancement equipment. After working in the US for 3 years supporting US OEMs, he returned to the UK and became head of Global Business Development and then European Sales for REMEC. In those roles achieved significant growth in multiple OEM accounts. In 2005 he set up Axis Network Technology.
Steve Cooper – Chief Operating Officer
Steve worked in GSM BTS Development at Motorola from 1993-1996, then in 1996-97 he was involved in deploying the US CDMA Network for Sprint PCS in California. He then managed Lucent’s Digital Radio Team for GSM, CDMA and UMTS BTS during 1997-2003. In 2003 he joined REMEC as VP Engineering to lead the development of a remote radio head opportunity, before leaving in 2005 to set up Axis Network Technology.
Michel Vieuxmaire – Global Sales Director
Michel has 14 years experience in the wireless market with operators and OEMs, and since joining Axis NT in 2007 has been driving worldwide sales within key accounts and channel partners. Prior to joining Axis NT he was at Axxcelera Inc, a US based WiMAX OEM, and was previously VP of Sales with REMEC Asia based in Shanghai, China and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Stuart Cumming – Director, Program Management
Stuart joined Axis NT in March 2008. Prior to this he had worked for Lucent for 17 years where he managed R&D projects including the development of multi-site UMTS and CDMA base stations, radio, channel card and remote radio head products and liaising with external EMS vendors. In his early career Stuart also worked in design, engineering & Manufacturing positions with AT&T, Marconi Microsystems and Square D Ltd.

Nick Randall – Chairman
Nick has enjoyed success in growing companies. He founded Oxford Magnetic Technology Limited in 1981, the revenues for which grew to approximately £50 million within five years. He left Oxford Magnetic Technology to purchase Airtech Limited and returned it to profitability within two years. He sold two divisions of Airtech for £13 million and formed Airtech plc, which obtained an AIM quotation in 1996 and merged with Remec Inc, in 1999. Post acquisition, Nick managed Remec’s worldwide wireless infrastructure group, and oversaw mergers and acquisitions activities for the company.
